Alot of people question weather I really run my own server or host it somewhere… The answer is, yes, I do really run my own Samba Domain Controller (Which will lie to your Windows Machine and tell it that’s it’s an Active Directory Controller), Email Server, Web Server and Print Server.
This is my Linux Mint Dell R730xd fully loaded. The only thing that isn’t maxed out is the hard drives on the raid array.
All I can say is that yes, I worked on the first Alpha Integration of Active Directory and Understand SMB very very well. WireShark and I are good friends. It’s not hard to run a true proper server.
Oh, and I also have those maxed out cores mining Crypto for some passive income.
